Fire Tribe Hawaii

2010 Summer Solstice Gathering

Hoomaluhia, Kaneohe
Gathering: June 18-21
Afterglow: June 21-22

Fire Circle at Night
Gathering Overview

The Fire Tribe Hawaii community sends greetings and invites you to gather in spirited celebration!

Fire Tribe Hawaii holds multi-day, participant-created Gatherings focused on all-night sacred fire circles where we explore and manifest our prayers and dreams through artful play. Together, we create a safe, mindful space for transformation within which we share our individuality, savor our humanity, and honor all that is sacred as we commune with each other, nature, and spirit.

Our Gatherings are not parties, raves, drum jams or seminars, but something entirely different. In our circle, people from all paths and traditions engage with each other by sharing in heart song, chant, ecstatic dance, music making, adornment, ritual theater and community art.

Please step forward and share your own personal offering; perhaps a poem, painting, prayer or playshop. Indeed, we realize our potential for energy and ecstasy most fully when each of becomes a co-authors of the collective magic.

Dates

Early Village Builders: Arrive Monday, December 17 to begin setting up the circle and community areas.

Gathering: Begins December 18. Arrive Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and stay through Saturday, December 22.

Afterglow: Stay an extra night and leave by Sunday afternoon, December 23.

We encourage you to attend as much as the Gathering as possible. Give yourself the gift of quality time with your community to relax, make friends, get creative, and unfold into the fire circle process.

Location

We meet for the Gathering at a beautiful private campground in the mountains on the Leeward side of the island of Oahu.

Parents and Kids

Parents, feel welcome to bring your children and teens to the Gathering. Of course, we expect that all parents and guardians will ensure their kids always have appropriate levels of adult supervision. We encourage you to connect in advance with other families and volunteers to plan kids' activities and arrange to share in caretaking. If you have any questions, please email us at info@firetribehawaii.org.
